Dyson Aftermarket DC07 Internal Hose
This hose is the INTERNAL hose on the Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner. I purchased the DC07 Animal vacuum from my local Goodwill and its motor was in great shape but the hoses were ripped on the webbing and the roller brush was completely wrapped with the previous owner's hair. This item arrived brand new and is not the Dyson OEM but an aftermarket part. The color of the ribbing is exactly as pictured (a white ribbing with clear webbing and a gray, Dyson matching, fitting on the end. Although some reviewers mentioned needing to warm the plastic before installing, this was not the case for me and it installed easily right out of the box.
PROS:
- Works perfectly and is exactly as described.
CONS:
- The only con would be that the ribbing color is slightly different from Dyson's original but that is purely aesthetic and does not affect Form, Fit, or Function.
Wow! The wife says the Dyson works like new again. She had no idea the old hose was faulty until I turned it over for something else and seen it myself. She says she can't remember the Dyson sucking itself to the floor like it does now, so it must have been torn for a long time.
BalasHapusEasy install, great product. I did lube both ends up with window cleaner (don't use soap for this) to aid in installation.
What I needed, delivered right away. Amazon wants at least 20 words, but I'm not sure how much more you can say about this essential little hose. It's plastic with a wire spiraling around the outside. Dyson did a good design job. The outer support wire acts like a screw to connect to the plastic parts. pretty cool.
BalasHapusinstalled in two minutes and it fixed my lack of suction problem immediately. For those who say it does not fit quite right, I am guessing they did not realize the lower portion simply screws on and does not pop on like the top.
BalasHapusI was concerned about purchasing this replacement part for my Dyson after reading some reviewers had problems getting it installed. I warned my husband in advance, but one evening I walked into his work area to see my Dyson, just about put together. He said the hose installation was "not a problem," but that he got the one end over the "first bump/hump" only--not the second one--which he felt was unnecessary. He's experienced in repair work in general just to be clear and so I'm happily vacuuming again.
BalasHapusI also purchased the Dyson DC07/DC14 Clutch Assembly #900252-04 - Genuinepart and that went without a hitch too. I just wish Dyson would stop using that junky, brittle plastic -- at least on the critical parts.
I was hesitant on purchasing this hose from the somewhat negative reviews of how difficult it was to get the stiff rubber end to properly fit on the vacuum cleaner base. The rubber end is stiffer than the factory original. Warm it up a bit with a hair dryer does the trick in softening it up so that it pops on better. At 1/4 the cost from Dyson's parts website. This is a great deal!

After reading the complaints relating to actually replacing this hose, I simply placed it in a sink of hot water for three minutes and then quite easily installed it in seconds. The cost savings was about half compared to the Dyson parts site. I'm happy.

I was very excited when the item arrived in the mail. The item didn't need to be put in warm/hot water to soften it before putting it on. It works like a charm. I had no issues taking the old one out and putting this new in. My Dyson DC07 is back in business. This is one of the cheapest fixes that one would hope to get.
