BISSELL Zing Bagless Canister Vacuum
I love this little guy! Perfect for my studio apartment. It can be a little loud, especially in my tiny bathroom, but I just throw in some earplugs and keep going! Have had this unit for about 3 months now and have not noticed any loss in suction (which is FANTASTIC, by the way). The small size of the canister doesn't bother me; I don't have pets, but I do shed a bit myself! I can usually do my whole apartment (hardwood) on one canister unless it's been more than 2 weeks since my last vacuuming, and when I vacuum I do EVERYTHING - rugs, floor, behind everything that moves, window sills, etc. I wish the brush went up a little higher in the carpet setting since it seems to be a little rough on my area rugs, but I just make sure to hold the wand lower (thus pivoting the head a little higher off the floor). Overall, this product is a fantastic value for the price and I would definitely buy the Bissell Zing Canister Bagless Vacuum again in a heartbeat!

I have had this little vacuum about a month now. It really sucks up the dirt...and we have a lot of it, living in the woods on a dirt road and the guys tromping through with their boots on. I read all the reviews for the Zing bagless vacuum as well as for other comparable small vacuums. Being on a very small budget, I needed something that would suck up dirt well but not cost me a fortune. I also wanted a bagless vacuum. Some of the Zing reviews specified keeping the filters clean, so I am a fanatic about that. With three filters, no dust gets into the air. And the filters are all easy to get to. The big filter sometimes is a little hard to pull out, but it boils down to developing the right touch - just takes practice. I take it outside to tap and blow the dust out of it. Whew!!! Is there a lot of dust!! Doing this will make the filter last a whole lot longer before it has to be replaced. It's easy to see the dirt whirling around in the machine and there is a mark to let you know it needs to be emptied. Not letting it get above that line will prolong good suction. The Zing is easy to pop apart, lightweight to move and I like the yellow strip on the cord that warns me I am getting close to the end of it. I wouldn't want to be yanking on the cord or stretching it out past its limit as it might mess up the retractable feature. The cord retracts well, and if it catches a little reeling in, I just pull it out a little to straighten it and continue reeling it in. That's a nice feature not to have to worry about rolling up a cord when storing. The narrow nozzle attachment is combined with the brush attachment - the brush just flips up out of the way when you need the narrow part to get into a crack or something - makes for one less piece to keep track of. As mentioned in other reviews, this machine probably would not hold up to regular vacuuming of carpet, but it does great on my ceramic tile floors and the small rugs in the living room and bedroom plus doormats. I recommend this machine if you are the type of person who takes care of your belongings, not neglecting or bashing them around. It's a little loud, but that doesn't bother me - just so it sucks up dirt, cobwebs and the spiders that make them! This machine was purchased from Amazon.com at a great price.
BalasHapusI am a young bachelor who hates vacuuming and hates schlepping a vacuum up the spiral staircase to the third floor. This little vacuum made both of those activities relatively painless. It is extremely lightweight but still sucks well (in layman's terms) on both carpet and hardwood floors. It also doesn't take up much closet space. The only fault I can find with this vacuum is that there is no place to clip on the one alternate attachment, but it's a very minor issue. I would heartily recommend this vacuum to anyone, but especially to housework-haters like myself, college students, and elderly or petite people looking for a very lightweight, easily portable vacuum.
BalasHapusAnd I mean that in a good way. Everytime I turn this vacuum on, the cat goes running for its ninth life, otherwise it would get sucked in by this vacuum (being a long-haired cat doesn't help). Seriously, I am really surprised by the amount of suction it has. On smooth floors, there is so much suction I can feel the resistance in pushing the floor attachment because it wants to grip the floor. Now I know why Bissell put a vent on the handle.
BalasHapusDon't understand other posts here commenting on the narrow area of suction on the floor attachment - there is a channel on the bottom of the attachment that goes the full width; it even has small ports on the edges to provide suction along walls. Maybe I got a later model with a redesigned floor attachment. But I will agree with another reviewer that says this unit is better suited for hard floors than carpet due to the lack of a beater bar - but it does work OK on carpet.
Unit rolls along on the floor easily, with the two large wheels (seen in the photo) plus a small pivoting wheel underneath near the front. My previous small canister vac would tip over often when pulling it with the hose - this one doesn't.
Great value for the price!
I bought this to clean up cat liter on a tile floor and hopefully any that gets on the carpet and this does the trick. It has great suction power and lift a 18 x 24 throw rug off the ground. I highly recommend this one.
BalasHapusThis vacuum is a good deal for the money. Works like a charm on both carpet and hardwood/tile. Its suction power is amazing for such a small, inexpensive vacuum. I wish it were a bit sturdier in its hose/sweeper connection but I can live with it. If you want to use this vacuum to clean carpets you have to use it on the floor setting (brushes retracted) and it works just fine.
BalasHapusIf you are looking for a nice inexpensive canister vac that delivers on suction power and clean up, buy it. It's not perfect but it does what it should do and for the money, it's a bargain.
I purchased this little vacuum as a suplemental vacuum to my Oreck, which has no attachments to get under cabinets, around baseboards, over drapes, etc.... This little, lightweight vacuum has terrific suction. I use it between vacuums with the Oreck, and I think it is just as good. It is easy to maneuver and carry around, easy to empty. I love it. I have a large home, and I use this little vacuum everywhere. When you look for an effective vacuum, you look for suction and power. This one has both. The tubing might be plastic, but it does not affect performance. I would like to buy one of these for everyone in my family. Good bye, electric brooms. You will not be sorry with this purchase. I have had mine a few months, and it feels pretty sturdy and durable. You can't, in my opinion, get better for the money.

BalasHapusYou can't beat this vacuum for around $50. I have all hard floors and it works well. It's no Dyson, but I didn't want to spend 10 times more money. DO NOT EXPECT THE BEST VACUUM YOU'VE EVER OWNED! I've had it for a couple months so here are the pros and cons-
BalasHapusPROS:
The suction is good.
It is very lightweight.
It makes it very easy to do stairs.
CONS:
You do need to empty it often (every time you vacuum if you have a few rooms).
The cord is extremely short.
