I wasn't sure this was right at all. Looked at reviews, already own a Windtunnel and Platinum by Hoover (read Consumer Reports, you'll understand), and never imagined I get so frustrated with the hair of 3 dogs and a cat that I'd spend the $$ for a vacuum cleaner.

Well, it's staying. I am impressed, to say the least. It picks up that much pet hair very efficiently, without the roller bar just stopping mid-vacuum due to hair wrapped around it. Sure some does wrap around, but it's so easy to pull out; so-o-o much easier than the Hoovers.

Cons: It is heavy for people with little hands or hand strength problems. At least at first it was, but less so now. But it's not a lightweight vacuum cleaner. But the motor must weigh a bit to do such a good job. I think too that I tried to hard at first to make it turn--I just didn't need to put so much force in it. It takes a corner easily, without much force.

I'd say, if on the fence like I was, give it a try and save the box it ships in just in case you want to return it. But I think you'll keep it.

I'm a fan of industrial design and was really impressed with this thing when I saw it. I noticed that it came with no wands but then saw that the crevice tool doubles as one. Clever!

Air does not go through the hose while doing floors so clogs are unlikely. The multi-selection power switch is great. The high-quality hose stretches far.

We have hard wood floors, oriental rugs and throw rugs. We were amazed at how much hair from our golden retriever our big old Kenmore had missed!

The head is small but that makes it more maneuverable and concentrates the suction. Unless you have acres of carpet, you will like the size.

The front air exhaust and pushing effort have not been a problem. The cord length is just right. It doesn't tempt you to keep going when you should just change outlets. A little hook holds the cord out of the way.

Noise level is good and the sound is not very annoying. There is a light to show you if the beater bar has jammed. It cuts power automatically. Cool. Love the adjustable circular handle. Radical.

This is our first bagless. They are a bit messy but it's great being able to see the dirt and hair you are picking up. The filter gets dirty fast though. Supposedly, you can wash it six times. Our vacuum came with only one. They are $10 online.

7 month update:

We're still on the original filter! We just take it out on the deck with a car snow brush in hand, bush off the dust blobs, give it a few taps on the rubber seal to loosen the fine dust and brush it off again.

We broke the little plastic wire holder off, but feeding the wire through the circular handle works even better to keep it out of the way.

The beater bar collects a lot of golden retriever hair so we have to turn it over and pull that off.

Still 5 stars!

Smartpool Climber In Ground Pool Cleaner

I purchased the nitro wall climber over a year ago. It works great! The price is great and he does a amazing job cleaning the pool Not a single problem, I hope I am not jinxing myself. This is the first time I have ever written a review. We even named our Nitro, "Rudy". My son really loves him because he doesn't have to clean the pool anymore. The biggest plus is that you don't have to clean your filters as much. We decided that we needed something electrical after hurricane Ike. We had no electricity for days and the pool was disgusting, Now if we lose power due to a horrible storm we just plug Rudy into the generator and voila! And you can now keep cool in the pool while waiting for the electricity to turn on. :) But hopefully that won't happen again for a long time. Our pump went out last October and I put Rudy in everyday for a week and he pumped so much water that the pool still looked good! Overall it is a product that has all pluses!
You don't use your filters to clean the pool.
It is electrical.
It works great!

Great little machine I have to say. I was skeptical.. no.. skeptical wasnt the word.. I was downright not a believer that this vacuum could handle my retardedly difficult dorm carpet. Its so low pile that its almost linoleum but I also have an area rug...I was so tired of sweeping this carpet to the nth degree but was faced with a difficult situation.. dun dun dun.. the broke college student budget...so because of that I literally researched about 25 different vacuums lol... and I also could never find the answers to my specific questions so here goes..this one handles well ive had it for about 2 months and I havent noticed any issues with the battery not holding a charge.. but it hasnt been that long either. The way I see it even if the battery DOES die.. I got my monies worth. It does fine on carpet.. some people said they had issues but I didnt. I will say this though, people who complained about it not picking up certain items..

I had a moment of alarm when it started acting up on me but I noticed that the plug was not in all the way so I thought it was fully charged.. It definitely wasnt.. the lower a charge it has the less you pick up.. simple math but just keep that in mind when purchasing. Picks up hair just fine.. and yes.. it can pick up objects the size of a cheerio. Although Ive noticed the brush can get clogged up (im a female so there does tend to be hair here and there) and needs to be cleaned out but it doesnt take much. Other than that, I would definitely purchase this again =)

LG Kompressor Canister PetCare LcV900B

Purchased this vacuum to replace two aging Hoover Wind Tunnel uprights. This is my first LG purchase of any kind, so I'm cautiously optimistic regarding dependability with the LG brand. However, this vacuum is an excellent little cleaner on carpet, wood and tile floors, truly superb suction power. A little hard to push on the Berber carpet with the vacuum set on medium high setting, but did an initial cleaning on that level and will do future cleanings on the high level setting which is not hard to push on Berber. The LG literally pulled up stuff from our carpet that our Hoover Wind Tunnels have missed for years. Our house just feels noticeably cleaner after one go over with the LG. Note; there is no pet turbine tool included as described in the product's description, the tools you see in the picture are the tools you receive....hardwood floor tool is included which to me was better than a pet turbine tool, and it works quite well on hardwood and tile. All of my Hoover Wind Tunnel attachments work with this vacuum to include my Hoover pet turbine tool, so that's a big plus. The wheels of the vacuum do not mark up my high gloss wood floors, and the controls on the handle are great...power-head roller brush on/off, min/max suction, and a light telling you when the dust bin is full. The handle does stand up on it's own as shown in the picture with the carpet power-head accessory attached (the power-head also has a light), and the handle does have a little storage clip attached that you slide into a slot on the canister base to stand up during storage. I told my wife I bought us a little present and she immediately said "it better not be a vacuum cleaner", because we have two Hoover Wind Tunnel uprights. I told her it was a vacuum and we could send it back if she didn't like it. There's no way she'll let me send the LG back, she loves it. The 21 foot cord is adequate for our needs, yes a longer cord would have been better. The LG is very quite when compared to the noise of our 5 year old Hoover Wind Tunnel uprights which you can literally hear running 3 houses away. Besides floors, the LG vacuums rugs and dusts furniture, speakers, TV, electronics and artificial plants quite well on the minimum setting, but we do prefer to use the round dust brush that came with our Hoover Wind Tunnels, as opposed to the included LG rectangular dust brush. The Kompressor function is pretty cool, and the two filters are both washable with water. Far easier to empty than our Hoover Wind Tunnels. Bottom line, we're both "very" happy with our purchase of the LG Kompressor Petcare Plus Vacuum.
