Perfect for pets

Bissell Lightweight 3 in 1 Vacuum Silver

Bissell Lightweight 3 in 1 Vacuum Silver

I bought the Bissell 3-in-1 this past Thursday (12/23/11) at Walmart for $19.88 and I can't stop singing it's praises. I'd read quite a few reviews on various stick vacs and had actually decided on the Eureka; but luckily when I opened it up it was used and actually missing parts so I returned it right away and picked up the Bissell instead, which I have to say is the best thing that could have happened. The Bissell has no rollers for string to get caught on which I saw with the Eureka; just straight suction and it has a lot of that! If I have a complaint is that I wish the cord was longer (just need an extension cord) and I have to empty it quite often, but Dyson is using that as a selling feature for its hand model retailing at approx. $300! If you're looking for a great deal this is definitely the way to go!

  2. The Bissell 3 in 1 "Stick" Vacuum is great for hardwood floors. I first learned about this product from my cleaning crew that came over to help me clean my hardwood floors. I have 3 dogs and they all had a medium shed. This Bissell had no problem picking up the excess hair on the floor and even picked up alot of the excess dust and dirt from purchasing a new home.

This vacuum does have massive suction power and is able to pick up things quickly, which helps speed up your cleaning time. This also helps with under the beds, bathrooms and tight fitting spaces because of the smaller vacuum head. It can pick up things on textured rugs and on various surfaces (title, hardwood, concrete).

  3. I got the blue one at Walmart 3 years ago, and it still going strong. I was surprised by the power it had. It can pick up hair up on carpet. And it pulls in dirt from an inch away on hard floors.

  4. bought this to replace one of those "cordless vacs". Out of the box was a 2-3 minute setup, Has a much better
vacuum ability, probably because it is corded and has a more powerful motor. Really easy to empty the collection cup, and I like the fact that the manufacturer recommends washing the filter to clean it. (gets rid of ALL the dust), also went to the manufacturers web site to order filters. (Less than $3 each). I mainly got this to keep all the cat litter off the floors, does a fantastic job on both solid surface floor, and on carpet.
Reallly like the fact this is an upright tool, I don't have to stoop to use it, and can empty the collection chamber and filter without taking the whole thing apart. A MUST HAVE for simple cleanup.

  5. I purchased one of these Bissel 3 in 1 "Stick" Vacuums (Silver) at Walmart for $19.99. It is way over priced on Amazon. I wanted something to do under the beds, the bathrooms along with the hard wood floor areas. I didn't need tremendous amount of power just something to pick dust and small pieces of whatever.

I was shocked at the power this thing has!!!!! I can pick up my small bathroom rug off the floor with it. It even picks up the small little things in our textured rug. Now I use it most of the time instead of our big vacuum. I do have to empty the container after ever use but that is no big deal.

All - in - all, mine at least works great. Suction to spare. One of the best buys I have made in awhile.

UPDATE: June 2012. It's been a year since I purchused ths vacuum and it still works great. Still as much suction as when it was new. One of the cord prongs has broken off but otherwise still holding up. I use it every other day. Not perfect but it works for me. I am glad I purchused it!

  6. After going through tons of battery operated Dust Busters which never hold their suction, we decided to go for a corded three way stick vac instead. What a great thing this is! Without the handle and attachments, it hangs easiy on our pegboard. The cord is a generous length for vacuuming the car. Suction is great. It has a nice rocker switch for the on off button.

This little unit has two filters. A small foam filter protects the motor and it has a separate dust cup. The dust cup only goes in one way, so you can't accidently insert it incorrectly. When emptying the dust cup we use a tooth brush, then wipe the plastic parts as well as the top of the dirt cup with a damp microfiber towel. This ensures a good seal. Keeps the dust where it belongs.

This is the perfect dust buster!

  7. I wanted a simple, cheap vac. to pick up dog hair and the remains of eaten dog toys. It picks up tons of toy stuffing, bits of plastic, decently sized wood chips from sticks...pretty much anything imaginable. I've had mine for 3 years now and am just looking to replace the filter (washable so you don't need to replace it a lot). It's starting to show some wear, but when I got mine, it was $18. Not a bad deal!

  8. Oh my goodness, this thing is wonderful! I hate sweeping, so I got this to use on the hard floors in my house. I will never sweep inside again. It works great.

I use it primarily on hard floors for getting up stray cat litter, cat fur, dust bunnies, dirt that gets tracked in the house, and crumbs and spills of things like powdered sugar or cake mix in the kitchen. As far as carpets go, I have used it on small rugs in the bathroom and an area rug in the living room. I have also taken the bottom attachment off and used it with the dust buster part on the stick to get dust bunnies behind the TV where it's hard to reach and have used just the dust buster part on the sofa to get up cat fur and crumbs. It does a fantastic job with all of those things.

I have a regular vacuum for the major carpeted areas in my house and would still recommend using a regular one for that purpose, particularly if you have animals or big messes. If I were to use the 3-in-1 in my bedroom, I'd have to stop and dump the dirt container out several times, and it doesn't have as much power as a regular vacuum. You don't need as much power on hard floors, though.

For hard floors, there is nothing better. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver, gets into tight spaces and under things a regular vacuum can't, and sucks up much more than you'd expect for something so small. Brooms always leave a little behind that you just can't quite get into the dust pan, but this mini-vac gets everything. It also doesn't take up a lot of space to store and is no hassle to get out and put away. It saves a lot of time as opposed to sweeping or pulling a big vacuum out. Sweeping is such a chore; this is not.

Also, like the other reviewer said, I got mine at Walmart. It was just $14, so I thought it wasn't too big of a deal if it didn't work that great. Now every time I use it I think what a great value it is and wonder why it was so inexpensive. I have had it 2-3 months and use it probably 2-3 times a week. It is holding up well and still has great suction. I thought it might be one of those things that works for a while then doesn't, but so far it has been doing just as well as it did the first time I used it. It is definitely one of the best purchases I have made for cleaning.

I love, love, love my Bissell 3-in-1 vac. If you hate sweeping, you MUST get one of these!

  9. (This is my husband review) This is the PERFECT small vacuum. I cannot believe what a fantastic job it does for such a $20.00 piece of equipment. I love to brag about this small vacuum. Love how I can clean around the bar stools without even moving them. I check all the reviews on the other lightweights, and decided on this one. Glad I did. Pick's up potato chips crumbs, candy kisses wrappers and I was surprised what was in the container. Everything washes up nice. Only thing I found I didn't like is the cord isn't extra long. Have to unplug and move to another socket. I retired 4 years ago and I take care of the floors for my wife. I also like to steam mop the tile in the kitchen about 4 times a week. Love it now that I don't need the broom and dust pan. I did the couch without taking off the simple handle removal. Worked great. Thank you Bissell for a GREAT 3-in-1 Vac.
